Today I attended my first protest on the national mall in Washngton, DC. And it was pretty amazing. I had to share it with all of you.
First off, thanks to RenaRF, who did a great job of corralling a bunch of us Kossacks together so we could meet-up early this morning before heading over to the mall.
You may have seen Timroff's diarywhere he attempted to live-blog the protest. He is a braver soul than I. Here are a few of my favorite pictures. You can see my full set here
Salt Lake City Mayor Rocky Anderson
The fearless Maxine Waters, who marched in heels.
Eve Ensler and the Fondas
Bloggers for Peace
A Code Pink Chick
A baby protestor
I hate the have a diary, that says so little, but I think the photos say so much.
The flickr set has over 100 pictures from throughout the day, starting with the blogger meet-up at 10am and going all the way through to the end.
I hope you get a feel for what it was like, both at the meet-up, on the Mall, and behind the scenes (which is where I ended up, somehow...).
